Crisis Intervention Services Disclaimer
Crisis intervention services are designed to provide short-term, in-the-moment support for individuals experiencing acute emotional distress or psychological crisis. These services are not a substitute for clinical therapy, emergency medical care, or long-term mental health treatment.
Scope of Services
During a crisis, trauma-informed de-escalation support through the lens of consciousness and human potential is offered. Providing presence, calming techniques, and supportive interaction aims to reduce distress, helping the individual feel safe. Individuals in crisis are humans worthy of honor, dignity and respect, regardless of the circumstance.
Estimated Process and Fee Structure
1. Initial Contact and Assessment
This begins when a call or message is received from the individual or their designated contact. We assess immediate needs, safety, and whether in-person support is appropriate. This stage typically includes a brief intake and agreement to proceed.
2. Overnight Monitoring and Interaction
If overnight presence is needed, settings are created to provide a calm, supportive, and watchful presence, either in the same space or nearby. This includes helping maintain routines, grounding conversations, or being silently present as needed.
3. Crisis Intervention and De-escalation
When distress escalates, evidence-based techniques such as grounding, breathwork, reframing to support emotional regulation and helping redirect focus or facilitating calm activities tailored to the individual's needs.
4. Follow-Up Communication
After the crisis, check-in’s are done every 24 hours to evaluate ongoing needs, offer resources, and help coordinate further care if appropriate.
Rates and Payment
Daytime Crisis Intervention: $150 per hour
Overnight Monitoring and De-escalation: $200 per hour
Rates may vary based on location and availability. Services may be paid for by individuals other than the client, as designated in the Voluntary Contacts form, or via donation. Clients acknowledge fees in advance of in-person intervention by consenting to services, unless deemed an emergency. In the case of needed emergency response, fees owed by client are accepted at a sliding scale rate and payment plan at zero interest.
